Who is Dr Karina Glatthardt?
Having worked as a dentist for over 24 years, I specialize in dental implants, dental prosthetics and gum surgery – including gingivoplasty and gum resurfacing. Over the years, I have built extensive experience in total oral rehabilitation and complex treatments, always with the aim of restoring complete oral health to my patients.
My work goes beyond restoring teeth or gums. It starts with the masticatory function, goes through aesthetic harmony and reaches what I consider most important: the transformation of self-esteem and confidence in each person I serve.

1.What is a dental implant?
It is a titanium post that replaces the root of the lost tooth. Once healed, it serves as the basis for a fixed prosthesis, restoring function and aesthetics to the smile.
2.Does it hurt to place an implant?
No. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia and is painless. The post-operative period is usually uneventful, with the use of simple analgesics.
3.What is an implant prosthesis?
It is the tooth(s) fixed to the implant. It can be single, multiple or total (protocol), restoring aesthetics and chewing to the patient.
4.Does it look natural?
Yes! When well planned, the implant prosthesis has a color, shape and size that integrate perfectly with the other teeth.
5.What is gingivoplasty?
It is an aesthetic surgery that remodels the contour of the gums, correcting the gummy smile and leaving the teeth more proportional.
6. Is the result immediate?
Yes. The new contour can be seen immediately after the procedure, with complete healing in approximately 7 to 10 days.
